What is Aequa?
Aequa is a modular contrast therapy platform by Brette Haus: factory-built sauna, cold plunge, shower, lounge, and engineering modules that combine into a complete wellness facility for hotels, resorts, and spas.
How is Aequa delivered and installed?
Every module arrives fully assembled and tested, so there is no construction on site. Depending on access, it is placed by crane or forklift; we assess your site in advance and can organise the equipment.
Is Aequa a standard product or a custom project?
Both. Every Aequa facility is configured from the same family of factory-built modules, connected in style, structure and engineering. Our team adapts the layout, benches, lighting, glazing and heater type to your site and requirements within 1–2 weeks, before factory production.
Can Aequa operate year-round?
Yes. Built for year-round outdoor commercial use, Aequa combines C24 timber frame, thermoaspen finish, AISI 316 marine-grade fixtures, and triple glazing to withstand demanding weather conditions across climates.
Which standard does Aequa meet?
All Aequa wellness rooms are designed to EN 18164:2026, the European standard for public wellness climate rooms. Permit rules vary by location, and we provide documentation for your local authority.
What does the site need?
A flat, stable base (gravel pad, screw piles or concrete) and an electrical connection. Water and drainage are needed only for cold plunge and shower modules.
How long from order to opening?
Aequa is adapted to your requirements in 1–2 weeks, followed by 12–14 weeks of factory production and 2–3 weeks for delivery. On-site installation takes just 1–2 days.
How is Aequa heated?
Every Aequa sauna comes with a premium HUUM heater. Choose a remotely controlled electric model for convenience or a wood-fired option for a traditional sauna ritual. Both deliver an authentic, deeply relaxing experience.
Which configurations are available?
Aequa starts with a single Core Sauna and extends to a complete wellness facility. Modules for sauna, cold plunge, showers, changing rooms and lounges can be combined in a tight cluster or scattered across a landscape, and expanded as your business grows.
How many people can the sauna accommodate?
Depending on the model, our saunas comfortably fit from 4 to 30 people. Whether you’re seeking a private retreat or a shared wellness space, we have a size to suit.
How do I maintain the sauna?
Aequa is designed for low maintenance in commercial use. The thermoaspen finish and AISI 316 marine-grade fixtures are built to withstand demanding weather. We recommend annual cleaning and regular wiping of LED lights and glass panels.
What warranty is included?
Every Aequa comes with a 2-year overall warranty covering material and manufacturing defects and 10-year warranty for the structure. We stand behind our craftsmanship and are committed to ensuring your long-term satisfaction.
